VIDEO: Tina’s talk at our Relaunch Party

Our Relaunch 80’s Party last Saturday was a huge success!  Thanks to Epic Ventura for hosting, Alakrity & 16 Scandals for playing and for our Ventura and Los Angeles Chapters for putting it all together!

This was our first event to feature our new line of merchandise.   We had a ton of great comments on our new shirts.  We’ll be getting photos of the news shirts online shortly.

Here’s a video clip of Tina’s talk.  Let us know what you think and please share with all your friends.  Watch here or on our YouTube page, Facebook page or MySpace page.  Enjoy!

Ventura, Calif. Rock for Life Ventura County and Rock for Life Los Angeles are proud to announce the hosting of Rock for Life’s relaunch party. This event takes place this Saturday, JULY 24th at Epic Ventura in Ventura, California. “There is not a better place to host our re-launch party than in Southern California, the birthplace of Rock for Life,” said Erik Whittington, executive director of Rock for Life.  “RFL Ventura County and RFL Los Angeles have been instrumental these last several years in advancing RFL’s work in Southern California.  We are excited to celebrate on home turf.”

Headlining the event will be Alakrity, longtime supporters of Rock for Life and constant advocates of the pro-life message. “We love playing Rock for Life shows and speaking for preborn children through Rock for Life avenues,” said Phil Carper, lead singer and guitarist for the Beloit, Wisconsin-based pop-punk band.  Alakrity has played many Rock for Life shows including Washington, D.C.; Hagerstown, Maryland; Thousand Oaks and Ventura, California. “We are excited to be a part of this historic event,” continued Carper.

Also opening up for Alakrity is Ventura’s own 16 Scandals, featuring Mikee Bridges, the executive director of Epic Ministries, which is also located in Ventura.

The entire event will be ‘80s themed, so all are encouraged to get out your best ‘80s wear and make a fun night out of it. Prizes and giveaways will be awarded to the best dressed.

Speaking at the event will be Tina Whittington, Rock for Life’s past Esther Project director and current spokesperson for RFL.  This will also be Rock for Life’s first event launching a new line of pro-life t-shirts.

Tickets are available at GodSpace Bookstore in the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks for $10 or $12 at the Door.  ALL AGES are welcome.  You can RSVP at the Facebook event page.
